Life Around Here

A little snapshot of our days.... I should first start with Josh's first day of school. I know, a little late! (: He is in 10th. Craziness! The kids go to the Homeschool Building for 1 class each on Friday mornings. It's awesome. It gives them a true classroom experience with 'real' teachers (; I think we will do a full morning next year. It's so good for them. He they are on their first day. There is a dresscode. Micah takes Physed, so that is his uniform! (: Silly kids in dad's shirt. Grace 'fixing' her belly button. My kids are outside all the time. We don't have a huge yard, but it's still big enough to throw a ball in. But we are blessed with lots of concrete. We have a parking lot beside us. Great side walks around us and a school behind us. We are thankful. I am thinking that Micah is driving Siah's bike here! (: We got this good thing at Goodwill. The kids pooled their money and bought it. They are wise. It&#

It's been 6 years....

November 7 is a big day for us. It's the day I felt Micah's tumor in his belly. It's the day it all started. On the 9th my first of many emails went out. Hi All, A prayer request: On Wednesday night. we found a big lump in Micah's stomach. Yesterday, he had an ultrasound and an xray. From these tests, they cannot figure out what is wrong. Early next week he has to go to London for an MRI and to go see a specialist.  This could be a small problem or a not so small problem.... Please pray that it will be a small one. Also please pray for Micah. He doesn't really know what is going on (which is good.), but he gets very nervous around doctors. I think his last needle scarred him! Thanks for your prayers. This email seems like it was written 20 years ago, yet it could have been written yesterday. It's been 6 years. I keep thinking about the fact that we were so young, not in numbers, but in experience. Our lives are marked by a line. There is before can

Just a hello.

Life is flying by. We have been in GR for 1 year and 3 months. A few of my kids are starting to have the Michigan vowel sounds. I hear it in their i's,a's and o's especially. It makes me smile. I surprise myself every now and then with a good American sounding "Grace". It just falls out. It's easy to pick it up. Nads actually said, "Where they at?" yesterday and it made me laugh. We hear that all the time here. But I think it`s not so much a mid-west thing, it's more like the slang that we hear at the grocery store. We have a lot of dialects here. It's interesting. Ken is doing well in school. His life is very full, but we are blessed to see the Lord's guiding hand and we have confirmation that we are where He wants us. We have much peace. We are so thankful for Micah`s health. The fact that he is outside right now rollerblading and playing hockey thrills me. I don`t often forget where we are and how we got here. Micah is healthy. He
