Hello...

Everything is moving a long just fine here!(o:

Homeschooling is going very well. I am appreciating that the three kids work very well together. The subjects that are not core subjects, I teach to all three at the same time. It is really great. I am excited to see what this year will bring in regards to academic growth for the kids. This year we are home more often. In the past years we did gymnastics, KENA(sports and some classes with our homeschool group) and  piano lessons. I loved doing those things and they were great for the kids, but they did cut into our schooling time. It is so nice to be home every day. Our school days are much more relaxed and we accomplish a lot. I finally understand why some moms choose to take a year or semester off from all activity. It really makes sense.  Although, next year I would like to look into putting the kids into some classes of some sort. I think it is good for them to be accountable to others as well.

Ken is doing well too. He has gotten into the swing of studying. I think in a way he has come home. It is so beautiful to see how God has brought him here. The fact that Ken gets to focus on studying God's Word full time is truly a gift that we don't take for granted. There is also a beautiful peace in following God's leading. We are so thankful.

Ken practicing his Hebrew pronouns to Grace. She loved it. It's coming, in God's strength. It's pretty exciting!

Monday, October 1 is Micah's scan date. We are doing quite well with it, trusting that the Lord has a special plan for our lives. Could you please pray that Micah's scan will go smoothly? Since he has gotten taller, they may need to scan him in two parts, rather than fitting him into one shot. That will make it way longer. He was on the edge for height last time, I am really hoping that he hasn't grown much in the last 4 months! (o: Could you also please pray that his scan will be clear? They are going to check his abdomen as well as his lungs. There is some wondering about the spot in his belly, but his lungs are still the main priority and the most at risk for recurrence.

Across the street is the Dock and they do an after school program. I love seeing the kids there. The kids seem very comfortable. It makes me wonder if the same kids come year after year. May the Lord use the Dock to teach those kids about Christ. I pray the Holy Spirit works in them. Beautiful.

This picture makes me laugh. All the boys of the family are watching the Dock kids play basketball. These kids are highschool age and they are good. In this picture they are cheering them on. Maybe we should venture outside and cheer them on! (o:

  1. Belinda,
Yes, many of the DOCK kids have been in the program for years. We did a benefit concert for them last year and had some of the kids join us for a combined number. They were amazing and some gave their testimonies. It is a wonderful testimony in the neighborhood!
