No Results. A Prayer Request.
I have a specific prayer request tonight. I wasn't sure whether to put this out there, but I asked Micah and he said it would be good for me to do it.
I noticed today that Micah was very moody, angry and teary all at the same time. This scan is weighing heavily on his heart. I am so thankful that he told me. It takes a lot for him to open up now. Often he will just say he is fine, when I know that there is something wrong.
In the past, usually he would follow our lead on how to feel. If we are upset then there must be something to be upset about. If Ken and I are feeling fine about things, then things must be fine. But I have noticed that he is starting to feel things on his own. His feelings aren't dependent on how we are feeling. It brings a whole new dimension to the journey for Micah.
Could you please pray for Micah? Pray that He will feel the Lord's arms wrapped around him and will take comfort in the truths that he knows well?

So shall I be saved from my enemies.

ReplyDeleteMy kids and I are memorizing Psalm 139 this summer, and these verses made me think of you, especially the last part where it tells us that God knew each day of our life before we were even born - so amazing to think of! God is good, and we can trust Him!
"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them."
Praying for you Micah! May you experience God's love during this hard time: John 15:9-10 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love."

Praying from PEI...Micah, praying for you to feel God's presence & be comforted in knowing He will work all things for the good of His people! Praying for peace & hope. Praying you (and your mom, dad, and siblings!) are able to enjoy your time away without the cloud of unknown results looming overhead. Rest in the LORD, whose strength is greater than any other!
ReplyDeleteHe giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,
ReplyDeleteHe sendeth more strength as our labors increase;
To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials He multiplies peace.
When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.
Fear not that thy need shall exceed His provision,
Our God ever yearns His resources to share;
Lean hard on the arm everlasting, availing;
The Father both thee and thy load will upbear.
His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.

"Therefore I say to you, Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? ReplyDeleteI have this poem hanging by my bed so that I am constantly reminded that God is in control. I'm sure you've heard it before, but this verse made me think of you today:
"The will of God will never take you,
Where the love of God cannot enfold you,
Where the mercies of God cannot sustain you,
Where the PEACE of God cannot calm your fears,
Where the authority of God cannot overrule for you."
I'm amazed at how God is using YOU, Micah, and showing us what brotherly love looks like in action! Trust that He will guide you on "the path of peace" (Luke 1:79)

Praying you have peace and courage as you wait (and that you don't have to wait too long.)

Hey Micah,
ReplyDeletewanted to share a verse from John 16:33... It is Jesus talking and He says, "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."
Jesus is saying that we are going to have trouble on the earth but to not be too sad. Take heart He says. The reason He wants us to cheer up is because He is the winner in the battle against sin and suffering. And as His children we will experience the FULL benefits of His conquering sin!
Praying for you!
Your friends,
