A Tuesday Afternoon Walk.

One of the many advantages of homeschooling is that if we get our work done in the morning, we can do something fun in the afternoon. Our favorite things to do is to go for walks and just get out. We don't do it nearly enough. Some afternoons we just have quiet time. We had a few beautiful days in November and we just couldn't stay home, so we went to Springwater in the afternoon for a hike. It was so fun.

Ken is usually our directions guy. I am more of the kind of person to just start walking and see what happens. We didn't even think to look at the map before we decided which way to go. Thankfully it was only an hour. If we wouldn't have made the right turn in the middle of the trail it would have been soooo long for the kids! (:

Our Josh just loves to climb and walk across things. He made it to the end of this one. He has got great balance and is very strong. He is always pushing to see how far he can go or how high he can climb. When we go walking he LOVES to push and pull down dead trees. It is so satisfying for him. (:

AMAZING! I got all 5 looking. That hardly ever happens.

This is what Grace did most of the time while we were walking. She was such a good girl. She loves it when there is lots to look at and she is moving.

Josiah looks like a little gnome in the woods.

I LOVE this picture. Josiah looks so cute tucked in this stump.

So guess who? Yep, its Micah! Who else would choose walking in bare feet in November instead of his shoes. His shoes were wet, but it was way colder on his feet to take them off.

I always feel like I am laughing at Micah. But really he is such a funny kid. I have to document these things. When he grows up, he will never remember. I have to have something to show his wife, so she knows how far he has come!  I assume the crazy won't be all gone, but I am sure it will be less. (:
Really, wouldn't that just be amazing if God blessed him that many more years? He would be such a wonderful husband. I want so much to sit at his wedding and hold his little babies. Please Lord....

We are so blessed to live so close to many beautiful places to enjoy God's creation. After walking through the woods, how can people not believe in God?  Everything is so intricate and works together so perfectly. This was not created by chance.
