Things are so quiet here tonight. The boys went across the street to watch a Jays game. Nattie and Siah are cuddling in bed watching a few little cartoons on an ipod before sleep time. Pips is sleeping and Ken is at school. Tonight is the grand opening night for ORCS's new building. But it didn't work out for the kids and I to go because Ken needed the van to go to Brantford for volleyball this afternoon. Ken would have had to drive from Brantford to school to home and back to school and home again. That is just too much driving. )O: We haven't gotten any results yet. It is a little sad to go through a weekend without knowing. But we are resting quietly in His hands. God is so good. His ways are perfect. Hopefully on Monday we will get a call. If not, I will call them in the afternoon. I was going through some pics of the last few weeks and would like to share my little people with you. A little girl fresh out of the bath, all clean and ready for bed.  Nat...

Eye News

Image
So we have had a few developments in the eye department. (O: First Micah and Josiah are somewhat color blind. That elevates their cool status. Odd I know.  When Ken asked Siah what he thought of it, he said, "Well actually, I want to be color blind because I am." Great perspective. Natalie has been asking him what color everything is. Did you know that girls can`t be color blind and that it comes from the maternal side? InTEResting! Josh went to our family doc on Monday for that bleeding in his eye. Today we went to the eye specialist. As of today the spot in his eye is gone. It must have been from Naddie clonking him in the head. A weight is off of Josh's shoulders. We are thankful. Lastly, Nads needs glasses. She is quite thrilled by the prospect. I can't wait to get her a pair! She will look sweet! (O:

Just some sentences....

It's been a bit of a long week. Ken has had parents teacher interviews the last 2 nights. Since we live 40 minutes from school it's not worth it for him to come home in between. This means he doesn't get home until 9:30 one night and 10:30-11 another night. That means LONG days for both of us. I know it's only been two days and he came home late at night so I at least got to see him. But it sure gives me a new perspective. I take for granted that I have an amazing loving husband who works hard for us and comes home to us every single day without fail. Ken's care and faithfulness to the kids and I is a beautiful gift from the Lord. I thank God for him everyday. OK this next sentence is mushy and I am whispering...... We have always had a great relationship, but I have never loved him more. Really, really beautiful  There you go. Sorry if it's too much. It had to be said.  (o: Reality is really setting in that we are actually going to move. For a long time it ha...
I have had so many things that happen throughout the week that I think are funny or that I want to remember. I always want to write them down to remember, but never have time. This time, I am just going to do it. Tuesday was an exam prep/marking day for Ken. So he was home and we had to be quiet. I had planned ahead and let the kids do some school the night before, so we could have an easy school day and maybe go out to give Ken some quiet. So we first went to the library. I am so thankful it's open again. It was closed for 6 months for renos. (I am not sure where the millions went though. It is cheerful and things are moved around. but it's not "WOW". I think we built it up too much in our mind.)  Anyways, we were there browsing and I just love watching Siah pick his books. He looks at the pictures on the front, then sits down on the floor and browses it before picking it. Next time we go, we need spend a few hours there. It is peaceful and they have to be quie...

A Trip to the Museum

Image
9 yrs 51 wks! (O: Last week, we went to the Children's Museum in London. We didn't go because we love it. We went because we bought a groupon that gave us a year family membership for 40$. This membership also gets us into the Science Center in Toronto. Woo Hoo. That is so amazing. We are hoping to go this week still! Even though it is a little young for most of the kids. We still made it a family outing and had a good time! When I look at my kids in pictures, I really see how big they are getting. I did take about 50 pictures. I had a hard time choosing. I down loaded 35 of them onto this post, but decided that was a bit much! (O: 7 3/4 years. 5 3/4 years. (I just realized writing his age that he is same age as when Micah was diagnosed. He is so little.) I couldn't get a picture here and it drove me crazy. I tried for way too long to get one here! Truth be told, I have always wanted to get pics beside each other. It saves space so the post isn...

I don't think I have ever officially ever documented Grace's Bunny Lunny. She has become Pippa's best bud. There is no way she can sleep without her. She sucks her fingers and rubs Bunny's ears on her nose. I love that Grace is attached to something. I think it is so cute. But it also is a pain, because we always lose B.L. I got my camera out as the boys were putting out the garbage. It looked like they were getting a long so well. When I opened the door to take a picture of them and the pretty weather, I heard them getting mad at each other. They simply don't do well working together. I hope they learn soon! The snow is so beautiful. I love where we live. We are blessed with space and big trees. My boy is getting big. It truly is a beautiful thing. 10 years old is 1 month away. This girl doesn't do sippy cups. She is a big girl!  It seems like in every picture Grace looks sloppy. I promise she is dressed nice sometimes and her hair is done prettily!...

I think I may have a problem with pictures. I LOVE them. I took over 100 this past weekend. I can't go through them until I put these on. I have a thing about the pictures being in order and since I haven't been keeping up my photo albums, this blog has kind of become my photo album! (o: Melt me to the core! 2 clean girls with matching jammies. I can hardly handle it. It makes me giggle. What a dream for me. I am thankful to have 2 girlies.I know I would be thankful and happy with 5 boys. But girls are just a wee bit special to a mom. My crazies are just loving the sandbox right now! (o: I  DE-spise racoons. They make me shudder. I thought this one was sick because it was out in the daylight. We were all screaming from inside telling Ken to knock it on the head with a shovel. But he couldn't do it! He wasn't positive it was sick. He thought it may have been confused. Good thing he didn't wack it. I think a guy was charged for killing a raccoon last week...
