Look at this very awesome bike...

It's very strange for me to do a post with 4 pictures of a bike. I usually wait until I have a whole bunch. But I just love this little trike so much! I love the little girl on it even more. I had to share. Just for my own future reference... The little lady has cute little striped underwear on here, instead of a diaper. She is doing it! (: She calls pee - "Water". We have a ways to go, but it hasn't been too painful! I also love the little bun at the base of her neck. My girl is growing up! Now back to getting ready to go to Ontario for Synod and a visit! (:

A Special Woman.....

I love a lady named Barb. We met her in December of 2007. She was Micah's case manager. She was a nurse, but she didn't do nurse duties. She was the one who stood in the gap between us and the Doctor. We saw her every time we went to PMDU for an outpatient day treatment or before we were sent upstairs for impatient. She is the one who taught me about counts and treatments. She is the one who answered all my questions and listened to my concerns. She told us when we could go home, what to expect and when to come back. She celebrated our victories and felt our sadness when things weren't going well. She loved us. She is the one who taught me to get the answers I needed, (and I needed a lot!), to process them and then put them away for when we needed that info. The Lord was my rock and strength, but it didn't take long for her represent security for me at the hospital. She got to know who I was and how I worked. I may have been a bit of pain sometimes with all my...

I don't want to forget...... (Written Feb 22 2013) This post got lost in my drafts, but I still want to publish it. I should do a new one already. She has grown up so much since then. The way Grace goes into the little bathroom on the main floor and closes the door and starts yelling because she likes the echo. How she dips a fry in ketchup, takes a little bite and then dips again. She dips and nibbles each fry about five times until it's teeny tiny. How she puts her hand under my chin to make sure I am looking at her and then pats my head to tell me she loves me. Melt me into a biiig puddle.... How she stands at the top of the stairs in the morning and says, "MOMMMMYYYY! ME!", as if I am supposed to be surprised that she is making an appearance. How she is a puzzle maniac and says each time she goes to put a piece in, "Where? OH Here!". How she runs to Josh and Nads and literally leaps into their arms. How she is starting to talk more ...

Just a little chat....

I think this is the first time since I starting blogging that I have gone a month without posting. It's just a season, but I kind of miss it. I write things down all the time, but they never make it here. I have scraps of paper in my purse that are filled with paragraphs written while waiting for Josh after baseball practice. I have pads of paper by my bed and little scraps on the school shelves.....My mind is always whirling! (: Our big news is that Ken is done school. I can't believe how quickly this year has passed. In a way it feels like just a few months ago that we stood in our driveway for the last time. But yet it also feels like years ago. It's a strange feeling. We are praising God that He blessed Ken's year. Ken learned so much and his desire and love for the ministry has grown tremendously. Ken plans to do school work this summer. But we are sure looking forward to the slower pace. It makes me giggle. (: The last few weeks have been tough emotionally. ...
